Alacero announced its new officers for 2014 at the close of the 54th Steel Congress in Lima, Peru this week. The new Executive Committee will include: President, Martin Berardi; 1st Vice President, Benjamin Baptista Filho; 2nd Vice President, Raul Gutierrez Muguerza; Secretary, Roberto de Andraca Barbás; Treasurer, Oscar Machado; plus Directors Albano Chagas Vieira, André Gerdau Johannpeter, and Daniel Novegil.
Alacero's new president, Martin Berardi, is the General Director at Siderar and Vice Chairman of the Board. He is also President of the Argentina Chamber Steel and member of the Board of Regents of the ITBA.
Parallel to the 54th Congress, a new exhibition was developed: Expoalacero 2013, where the industry's leading companies, suppliers and customers shared their innovations, products and services. In addition, the Villacero Foundation hosted the Sculptural Steel Sample, which featured artists from the host country. The exhibition will travel to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) of Lima, Perú.
