Elon Musk has announced a software update for owners of the top-end Tesla Model S P100D sedan that’ll once again improve its acceleration speed.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the wannabe Martian, revealed an 'Easter egg' within a software update will see the 0-60mph time shorten to just 2.4 seconds.
That’s down a tenth of a second on an August update, which pushed the Ludicrous Mode model’s 0-60mph speed from 3.0 seconds to just 2.5.
Additionally, and this is the really cool part, then top of the range Model S can now cover a quarter of a mile in 10.6 seconds.

Now this is a family sedan that’s capable at traveling at speeds that’d get Vin Diesel fully torqued.
As one of Musk’s Twitter followers humorously pointed out, it seems that Tesla cars are among the few products on earth that actually get faster with software updates.
