The direct-to-consumer personal car insurance company,  and service and will report to CEO Gary Tolman.

In his new role, Pitchford will be responsible for the newly combined sales and service areas and will enable Esurance to meet the needs of policyholder.

Mark will also provide tools and information for customers for insurance smart choice and will be based at Esurance's San Francisco headquarters.

Prior to joining Esurance, Pitchford served at Allstate as senior vice president of direct sales and service and also served Hanaro Telecom and Hanaro Media (in South Korea), Qwest Communications, and AT&T as senior marketing, sales, and customer service.

Pitchford also held services with multiple nonprofits boards including United Way of San Antonio, the Public Education & Business Coalition, Headfirst Magazine, and Colorado Steppin' Out for Kids.
